I took the BCIN prep course with E.J and he helped me tremendously. He showed me how to strategically target the exam questions. Though I passed my building code on my first shot, I did not pass my general legal on my first trial so he helped me review the materials and I got a lot more confident and passed on my second trial. He was with me at every step during the journey and even now after the exam, he still provides on-going support for my work as he is always literally a call away and I am forever grateful for that. I am a student of EJ’s from Hamilton ON. I found EJ’s contact information online when I was searching for study guides in regards to the Small Building exam for BCIN. After meeting EJ, I was less stressed on how I will pass the exam. EJ held weekly zoom classes with me where he taught all about the building code and the different techniques to use when answering questions on the exam. Before meeting EJ, I was clueless on how to prepare for the exam since I had very little understanding. After all the classes with him, I was confident to take the exam. I unfortunately didn’t pass on my first try but EJ helped me through the areas where I was having trouble and I was able to pass with his help. EJ helped me tremendously with the Small Building and General Legal exams. His techniques and tips helped me the most when writing the exam. I am a small custom and spec homebuilder working primarily in Wellington County and Peel Region. I have been a Tarion licensed builder for 5 years and have a background in renovating homes for many years prior to this.I wanted to get certified so that I could start stamping my own drawings and gain a better understanding of the OBC. I was already familiar with the OBC since I have been building for a number of years, but I wasn’t terribly familiar with the requirements of th BCIN exam.I appreciated being able to custom tailor the classes to the areas that I was weaker in. I also appreciated the flexible scheduling. The classes were essential to my success and gave me the necessary tools I needed to be successful at writing the exam.Very accessible and practical. This course expedited my prep work for the BCIN in a logical and organized fashion.  EJ is responsive in the sense that he will learn your background and will suggest skipping areas that he feels you are already knowledgeable in, while spending more time in the areas that need work in order to ensure each student is successful on their exam. I would highly recommend this class to anyone looking to write their BCIN exam and even for people trying to improve their OBC Knowledge after certification.
