International Conference Toward New Architecture

City in its own historical meaning is a point where maximum of power and culture multiples and appears. City is where functions placed and in cities civilization multiples. Cities are the results of land.

Agriculture was where cities started to shape over the past centuries. Passing time through industrial revolutions where wheel was an important element ‘brought us here today. Megacities of today .what will happen if today’s elements such as computer and information technology take place? How would be the images of our future cities?

From Archigram to Zaha Hadid, Future City traces the history and development of international experimental architecture since 1950. The future of cities has been in the focus of discussion ever since the foundation of the first city. The interest has focused on creating better and better cities

Although Archigram didn’t build their visions, other architects brought aspects of them into the world. But there ideology affected today’s life considering on walking city proposal is a great fact.  Future of cities as one increasingly influenced by telecommunications and technology. “our cities are increasingly linked and learning” – this seemed to me a recapitulation of Archigram’s strategies, playing out not through giant walking cities but smaller, bottom-up technological interventions. The infrastructures we assemble and carry with us through the city – mobile phones, wireless nodes, computing power, sensor platforms are changing how we interact with it and how it interacts with other places on the planet. After all it was Archigram who said “people are walking architecture.”

Urbanotion  

Not only city is the form of physicals dimension of building, roads and structure but also is a place for socio-culture activity of its inhabitants. Although buildings are standing proudly to prove that here we are stand, culture and society are in motion. A kind of Motion that flows to the physical dimension of building, road and structure and covers all city.

Motion can be a fact which may illustrate a vision form the face of future cities. If building and structures of a city moves like society and culture, how will be the image of city? In order to do so today’s technologies enable us to at least have an image through this idea. Considering today’s phenomena and elements such as IT (information technology) ,computers, Bluetooth,  internet, telecommunications and etc proves that how will be the image of future cities?

URBANOTION is my brain stormy of words urban and motion which comes out from the lens of my camera to illustrate what will be happened if physical dimensions of cities move .the action resulted in such a way that, sound that city walk and light, shade, colors, all plays together to expressing the motion of urban area. Creating an artistic vision which freezes the urban area and presenting some smell from the form of future form of cities.
